Ask men dating older women

In fact, you may find that dating an older man is actually easier than dating a man your age who is less mature than you.

According to an article in Ask Men, women who date older men often do so for a variety of reasons.

Since an older man may have a broader perspective on life simply because he is more experienced, you can ask him questions that a younger man might find threatening.

For instance, you can ask him about career growth or money management because he is likely to be very supportive, offering you advice from his experience, referring you to professional colleagues, or simply pointing out where you can find your best answers.

When Beth, one of my better researchers, said that men who were averse to commitment were drawn to her like bees to honey, I gave her a copy of the summary report of my research on “why men marry.” The report showed that the primary reason a man asks one woman to marry and not another is that each woman treats him differently.

In Paleolithic times, cavemen were rumored to stay up late into the night with their fellow troglodytes, gnawing frustratedly on leftover bones and trying to unearth the answer to this most perplexing question.

She said, “You reinforce the myth that the reason men don’t commit is that the women in their lives do something wrong. In most cases, it’s the man in a relationship who decides he isn’t ready or doesn’t want to get married, and he makes this decision without any help from the woman." After telling Beth that more than three hundred women had worked with me on the marriage research and not one had made the comment she just offered, I apologized. My interviews with single men had shown there were men who would not commit.

Beth was also right when she said that if I could help women identify which men were more likely to commit, I would be performing a real service.

If you're dating - or thinking about dating - an older man, you may be concerned about keeping his interest.

While your concerns are perfectly natural, keeping his interest is not as problematic as you might imagine.
